Basic Candle Care

Want to know how to take care of your candle? Follow these tips to get the best and safest burn.

1. Cut it. Cut it.

Trim the wick before EACH burn (including fresh out the box) to about 1/4". You can trim using scissors of wick trimmers. Trimming prevents that nasty black soot and the flame from getting too high.

2. Let it Burn.

Allow the melt pool to reach the edge of the jar before extinguishing. This prevents the nasty tunneling effect. This is especially important for your first burn!

3. Handle with Care

Use caution by burning your candle on a heat resistant surface and never leave it unattended. Your candle lid made for a great coaster to protect your surfaces from heat.

4. End of the Road

All great things must come to an end. When 1/4'-1/2" wax remains it's time to say bye bye to this scent and order another one! Lighting a candle with not enough wax can overheat your jar.

5. Use Me

Once the candle is finished, clean out your jar and repurpose it. The possibilities are endless.
